Movies of the Month
1st Place: The nativity story. Rated: PG
This movie is very accurate and has a great story to tell. It depicts the story of Jesus being born and this movie describes the way that the star was formed that led the wise men to Bethlehem. Explaining the social aspect of the time of Jesus’ birth, it shows how Caesar highly taxed the people in his kingdom.
2nd Place: Charlotte’s Web. Rated: G
This is a classic story being retold wonderfully.
3rd Place: Over the Hedge. Rated: PG
This movie is rated PG for some rude humor and mild comic action. It is enjoyable for children about 7 years and older.

Dear Girlz,
As you may have noticed, I have been a bit inconsistent with mailing these to you. I apologize for any inconvenience. I always seem to run short on days and hours. Therefore, I will try to make every issue unique as to make up for the months in which you have not received one. Thank you for understanding.
Sincerely,

Don’t Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will.
When the road you trudging seems all up hill.
When funds are low and debts are high.
And you want to smile but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone one of us sometimes learns.
And many failure turns about.
When he might have won had he stuck out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit-
It’s when things seem worst that you must not QUIT.

Solve:
Three guys were traveling. They were getting pretty tired so they decided to stay at a hotel for the night. The receptionist told them the room was thirty dollars. Each man handed her a ten-dollar bill. The guys went up to their room and they were getting ready for bed when the manager came to the receptionist and said, “You knucklehead! That room is only twenty-five dollars.” The receptionist, who was not the brightest person, could not figure out how to divide five by three, so he put two dollars in his pocket and gave three dollars to the people. Therefore, each guy paid nine dollars. Nine times three is twenty-seven and the receptionist has two dollars, which equals twenty-nine dollars. What happened to the extra dollar?
Solve: If a man spent went to a hotel on Monday and stayed for three days, yet left on Friday. How is this possible?
A Positive Thought
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He’ll listen.
He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
What about the Christmas Gift He sent you in Bethlehem; not to mention that Friday at Calvary.
Face it He’s CRAZY about you.
And remember… God answers

The missing mare
Long ago, in the state of Kansas, there lived a Girl named Alana and her horse, Holly. Alana loved her Horse, but sometimes Holly drove her crazy! That Mare was always quite mischievous! One cold, stormy, winter evening Alana went to feed Holly. To her surprise, Holly was gone! Alana dropped the pail and ran to the house yelling, “Father Holly is missing!” Alana’s father replied, “Now calm down… was the gate left open? “No, I’m sure I closed it,” said Alana. “Let’s take a look,” said Father. Together, they went to the barn and saw that the gate was open. Alan started to cry. “Where could she have gone? Do you think some4one stole her?” Father replied, “Let’s look for tracks.” Therefore, they went inside, but they saw nothing that could help them. The e storm had covered the tracks too quickly.
“Now what do we do Father?!” “I’ll call all the neighbors to keep there eyes open for Holly. Tonight the storm is too bad so we have to wait for morning to do any searching.” Alan trusted God, so she prayed that very night. The next day it was Saturday, she woke up early. She wanted to look for Holly so she woke up her father. After a quick breakfast, they rushed out the door. The bright sun sparkeled on the snow, it was a beautiful winter morning. Father said, “It should be easy to find Holly with her black coat against all this snow.” Alana hoped so. They searched in the buildings, behind the bushes in the pastures, and still no sign of Holly. Nighttime came and Alana prayed again, crying herself to sleep.
Now it was Sunday. Alana could not look for Holly, because she had to get ready for church. She was very sad as the pastor gave his sermon. “Never give up hope. Always keep on praying. Open your bibles to Ephesians 6:18,” said the pastor. “God tells us in this verse, ‘And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests’…we see here that you can pray about everything. God hears ALL of our prayers. ” Alana felt peace that God did hear her prayers for Holly and knew everything would be okay. After they got home and ate lunch, she went to search again. She searched all day. Finally, father came to her and said, “Come in now. It’s getting late and you have school tomorrow.” “But father, do you think I could stay home and keep looking for holly?” Father replied, “I’m sorry, but you have to go to school. This is when you really need to trust God.” The next morning Alana got ready for school, ate breakfast, and went out the door. Soon the bus would be coming. As she stood waiting, she could not believe her eyes! Instead of the bus, coming toward her it was holly...but she was not alone! A little black colt, with a star on his forehead, was running along side her. They came to Alana. As Alana gave Holly a big hug, she said, “I’ve missed you so much! Thank God! You’ve come back…and with a baby!” Shortly the bus came. Alana waved it to go on without her…for today she was sure that Father would not mind taking her to school.
THE END!
